Natural Products

Timeless Cleaning provides domestic cleaning in the Bundaberg area using natural products.? Why is this so important?

Using natural products or ‘being green’ means that we consider our health and the environment. When we think about our home …
Is it clean?
Are we leaving toxic residue when we clean?
Are we polluting the air we breathe inside that home with chemicals?
Cleaning with toxic cleaners is the major cause of indoor air pollution.
What about our environment?
When we rinse our cleaning cloths and empty our buckets, the water goes somewhere.
Once the water containing our cleaning products get into the waterways does it …

Have a negative impact on the health of our waterways?
Harm organisms that live on these marine creatures?
Re-enter our drinking water?
These are just some reasons why we believe using environmentally products is so important. Please call if you would like some more information.

How to use ... Baking Soda

Baking soda can be made into a paste and used to scrub surfaces in much the same way as commercial abrasive cleansers. Baking soda is also great as a deodoriser.  To use this way simply place an open box in the refrigerator and freezer to absorb odours. Put it anywhere you need deodorising action such as in your wardrobe or pet bedding.  It can also be used to absorb moisture and is great for keeping mildew away from stored items. Baking Soda can even clean your teeth and is now an ingredient in toothpaste!

How to use ... Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a natural substance that can be used to clean your home by dissolving soap scum, cleaning and shining brass and copper, or mixed with vinegar and or baking soda to make cleaning pastes. How? - Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle baking soda on the cut section, then use the lemon to scrub dishes or bench tops etc.  Mix 1 cup olive oil with ½ cup lemon juice and you have a furniture polish for your hardwood furniture.

How to use ... Vinegar

Vinegar cleans, disinfects and deodorises naturally and can be used like an all-purpose cleaner. Simply mix a solution of 1 part water to 1 part vinegar in a spray bottle and you have a solution that will clean most areas of your home.  It is safe to use on most surfaces and has the added bonus of being incredibly cheap, though you should always test on the surface first as improperly diluted vinegar is acidic and can eat away at tile grout and you should never use vinegar on marble surfaces. Here are some uses for vinegar in your home: ~  Bathroom - Use pure vinegar to clean the toilet bowl.  Flush the toilet to allow the water level to go down, pour the undiluted vinegar around the inside of the rim and scrub. ~  Kitchen - Use the diluted vinegar to clean the benches and stove top. ~  Laundry Room - Use vinegar as a natural fabric softener.  Add ½ cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle in place of store bought fabric softener. Vinegar has the added benefit of breaking down laundry detergent more effectively which is extremely helpful for babies or people with sensitive skin.
